Three Ingredient Ham and Swiss Pastry

Ingredients you will need for this three ingredient ham and Swiss cheese pastry:

  • 1 store bought puff pastry (found either in the frozen or refrigerated section near the prepared cookie dough and pie crusts)
  • 1 cup diced thick ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 egg for egg wash (optional)

Directions:

  • 1.) Preheat oven to 425°.
  • 2.) Unroll the puff pastry dough onto a sheet of parchment paper on a large cookie sheet.

  • 3.) Slightly roll up the edges of the puff pastry dough.
Spreading freshly grated Swiss cheese over store bought puff pastry dough.
  • 4.) Spread the shredded cheese evenly over the puff pastry dough.
Placing cubed ham over the top of Swiss cheese on store bought puff pastry dough.
  • 5.) Evenly place the diced ham on top of the cheese.
Brushing the edges of puff pastry dough with an egg wash.
  • 6.) Optional: Make an egg wash with one egg beaten together with 1 tablespoon of water. Lightly brush the egg wash onto the edges of the pastry dough. This gives a lovely, glossy, golden, professional look to the pastry.
  • 7.)Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes making sure to pull it out when the pastry is just turning a lovely golden brown.
  • 8.) Remove from oven and let cool for just about 5 minutes, slice and serve! Enjoy!
